Intensive Training Diary – Day #2

A big thanks to James for his conditioning circuit, and Louis for his dirty boxing masterclass. Here's the list for Day #2:-

 

Conditioning:

Do as many reps as possible for 1 minute, before changing station.

Burpees > The plank > Weighted squat-jumps > Spiderman pressups > Elbows-to-knees > Jumping pullups > Abs-wheel

 

Pads:

  • Double-jab > cross
  • Parry > hook
  • Slipping the jab
  • Half cover

 

Bag:

  • Feint-jab > long-jab 
  • Close quarters double-hook
  • Overhand > uppercut

 

Man:

  • Distancing practice
  • Turning practice

 

Sparring:

Light contact, 1 minute rounds, try to land at least 3 clean hits

Fight tactically, using the techniques that you have learnt in class.

Hi guys,

Since we're doing intensive training 4 days a week for the next 4 weeks, i figured it would be handy to keep an updated list of the things we've covered to jog your memories. Here's Day #1:-

 

Singlestick drills

  • Armara Isa
  • Anyo Isa
  • 12 Angles (solo + pairs)
  • Male triangle (solo + pairs)
  • Female triangle (solo + pairs)
  • Crossleg (solo + pairs)

 

Sparring exercises

  • Largo sparring
  • Important techs: Jab (media), flywheel
